The short version: Use our service kindly and honestly. We'll show up for you every day. You can cancel anytime. We're not therapists or medical professionals — we're your BFF in a text.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using You Glow Girl ("YGG," "we," "us," "our") at youglowgirl.app or by subscribing to our SMS service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use You Glow Girl. By using our service you represent that you are 18 or older.
2. Description of Service
You Glow Girl is a personalized SMS subscription service that delivers daily motivational text messages to subscribers based on their individual profile, goals, and preferences. We offer the following plans:
- Spark (Free): One personalized morning text per day
- Glow (Paid): Up to three personalized texts per day, custom delivery times, goal tracking, and access to community events when available
Message content is generated using artificial intelligence and is intended for motivational and entertainment purposes only. You Glow Girl is not a substitute for professional mental health care, medical advice, therapy, or counseling.
3. SMS Messaging Terms
By providing your mobile phone number and completing our onboarding form, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated personalized SMS text messages from You Glow Girl. Message frequency varies by plan (1–3 messages per day).
Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Reply HELP for assistance. For support email hi@youglowgirl.app.
You represent that you are the account holder or have the account holder's permission for the mobile number you provide. You agree to notify us promptly if your mobile number changes.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Paid Glow subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- Founding member pricing ($5/mo) is locked for life for eligible subscribers and will not increase
- Standard Glow pricing is subject to change with 30 days notice to active subscribers
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing date
- We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods
- Failed payments may result in suspension of your Glow plan until payment is resolved
5. Cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through the following methods:
- Log into your Stripe billing portal to manage or cancel your subscription directly at any time — no need to contact us
- Email hi@youglowgirl.app and we will process your cancellation within 2 business days
Upon cancellation your paid subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. After that you will be moved to the free Spark plan and continue to receive one daily text per day.
Important: Replying STOP to any SMS message will immediately stop all text message delivery but does not automatically cancel your paid Stripe subscription. To cancel billing you must use one of the methods above.
6. Free Spark Plan
The Spark plan is free and will remain free. We reserve the right to modify features included in the free plan with reasonable notice. We will never charge you for Spark without your explicit consent.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Provide false information during signup, including a phone number that does not belong to you
- Use our service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt our platform
- Resell or commercially exploit our service or message content without written permission
- Use our service on behalf of someone else without their explicit consent
8. Intellectual Property
All content generated by You Glow Girl — including but not limited to text messages, website copy, brand assets, and logo — is the property of You Glow Girl LLC. You may share individual messages you receive for personal, non-commercial purposes (for example, sharing a screenshot on social media). You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialize our content without written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
You Glow Girl is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- Messages will be delivered at a specific time or without interruption
- The service will be error-free or uninterrupted at all times
- Message content will be appropriate for every individual situation
You Glow Girl is a motivational service and not a mental health resource. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis please contact a qualified professional or call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) in the US.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, You Glow Girl LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use our service. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless You Glow Girl LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of our service.
12. Privacy
Your use of You Glow Girl is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Illinois.
